At the Coral Springs Tennis Center, the Level 5 Splitz Tournament brought together some of Florida’s strongest junior competitors for a unique team-format battle across both the Girls 12U and 14U divisions. With each round featuring two singles matches and one doubles match. Two standout teams—Vanna Turner & Myra Yadaw in the 12U division and Nevette Turner & Abigail Sewell in the 14U division—delivered exceptional performances and claimed championship titles.
Girls 12U Division: Turner & Yadaw Capture the Title
The pairing of Vanna Turner and Myra Yadaw demonstrated dominant play throughout the tournament. Their strong chemistry across singles and doubles helped them power through every round.
- Round of 16: The team opened with a commanding 3–0 sweep over Alina Merz & Alexa Echeverria.
- Quarterfinals: Turner and Yadaw battled through a competitive matchup, defeating Tamara Korneeva & Lillian Craddock 2–1.
- Semifinals: In another tight contest, they overcame Dana Postovaya & Pauline Gransater 2–1, relying on clutch doubles play.
- Finals: The duo sealed the championship with a hard-fought 2–1 victory against Sarah Lee & Cardina Gualtier, completing an impressive weekend of teamwork.
Girls 14U Division: Turner & Sewell Dominate
In the 14U division, Nevette Turner and Abigail Sewell emerged the most consistent and commanding team of the event, combining steady singles play with confident doubles performances.
Finals: In the championship match, the team clinched the title with a decisive win over Isla Amos & Alla Sadzius 3-0.
Round of 16: A strong start saw them defeat Maya Lunstrom & Lucinda Rosa Valdes 3–0.
Quarterfinals: They continued their perfect run with another 3–0 sweep against Mia Marroquin & Raquel Delarosa.
Semifinals: Facing tougher competition, Turner and Sewell edged out Mia De Leon & Mia Rukosuev 2–1.
