Taisiya Sorokina delivered an impressive performance at the Level 3: Sunshine State Open, held at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, FL, from September 14th to 16th, 2024.

Competing as the 6th seed in the Girls 14U division, Taisiya demonstrated her talent and competitiveness throughout the tournament.

Early Rounds

Taisiya kicked off the tournament with a strong win against Stefany Zamora from Miami, finishing the match with a score of 6-4, 6-0. She maintained her momentum in the Round of 16, where she faced Adelina Iftime in a closely contested battle. Taisiya triumphed with a score of 5-4 (7-2), 4-1, showcasing her resilience and skill.

Quarterfinals

In the quarterfinals, Taisiya continued to impress, convincingly defeating Alana Berry with a score of 4-1, 4-1.

Semifinals

Taisiya’s journey came to an end in the semifinals, where she faced off against the 2nd seed, Adriana Khomyakova. Despite a valiant effort, she was unable to secure a win in this tough matchup with a scoreline of 4-1, 4-2.

In doubles, she partnered with Chernorabie Barrie as the No. 2 seed. In the quarterfinals, they secured a victory against Quinn Sommer and Adelina Iftime with a score of 7-5. However, in the semifinals, they faced Michelle Flyam and Adriana Khomyakova and came up short with a score of 6-2.
